Arlette Guthrie

Arlette Guthrie is vice president of human resources. She is responsible for leading human resources for the corporate and field organizations of merchandising/marketing, supply chain and the online business, including distribution centers and customer contact centers. In addition, Arlette serves as the HR leader for the Home Depot store support center staff functions, which include information technology, finance, human resources, legal and corporate communications & external affairs.

Arlette joined The Home Depot in 1999 as a human resources intern and analyst. She has held roles of increasing responsibility, including senior analyst of management development, manager of research and diagnostics, director of organizational effectiveness and senior director of organizational effectiveness and talent management, and vice president of talent management and diversity. Most recently, she was vice president of human resources for the merchandising organization.

Prior to joining The Home Depot, Arlette served as the research leader for an international workplace research consortium and as an assessment center consultant through the Department of Psychology at Texas A&M University.

Arlette received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Dillard University. She also holds master’s of science and doctor of philosophy degrees in industrial-organizational psychology from Texas A&M University.
